Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (New Albany, Ohio) reported net sales of $227.5 million for the five-week period ended April 2, 2005, a 34 percent increase over a year earlier. March same-store sales increased 21 percent over a year ago.

Year-to-date, the retailer reported a net sales increase of 34 percent and a same-store sales rise of 20 percent over a year earlier.

The retailer’s operations include 357 Abercrombie & Fitch stores, 170 abercrombie stores, 260 Hollister Co. stores and 4 RUEHL stores.
