Akris Opens First Japan Boutique

Swiss fashion house also expands to Munich

Swiss fashion house Akris (St. Gallen, Switzerland) plans to open its first independent boutique in Japan and a location in Munich.

The 1400-square-foot Tokyo space, located in a two-story building, features curvilinear walls of Canadian maple wood, matte stone floors, chrome fixtures and a walnut chair by Norman Cherner from 1958, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

The 3725-square-foot Munich boutique, Akris’ fourth German location, features an undulating maple wall and a wall made of woven black horsehair, the base material for its accessories collection.

Akris operates 11 stores and wholesales its collections to about 600 doors worldwide.
