American Apparel Seeking Bankruptcy Advisors

Crafting restructuring plan

Published

on

Bloomberg Business reported yesterday that American Apparel Inc. (Los Angeles) is seeking advisors for company restructuring in bankruptcy court. The company has declined to comment.

After several attempts to bolster funding including increasing credit lines from $50 million to $90 million, reports suggest American Apparel will struggle to make its interest payment on Oct. 15.

The report comes after American Apparel’s announcement last week that it may struggle to continue operations in the next year.
