LIM College (New York) graduate Kristina Visceglia’s entry in Solstice Sunglass Boutique’s visual merchandising competition was chosen as the top winner. Entrants were challenged to create a concept for the chain’s annual summer sales promotion.

Visceglia’s winning visual includes a pair of Carrera sunglasses encapsulated in a clear bottle nestled in the sand on a sunlit beach.

“Since I grew up on the Jersey Shore, my mind instinctively connected summer to the beach life,” says Visceglia. “One of my favorite things to do is collect sea glass, which led to the idea of a message in a bottle.”

The winning concept will appear in the windows of 160 of the retailer’s storefronts, as well as be used in marketing collateral and mall kiosks.
