Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.) has submitted a store proposal to New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the Grand Central train station, near the terminal’s east staircase. Upon approval, Apple plans to start building its electronics store immediately, reports The Wall Street Journal.

The plan calls for Charlie Palmer’s Metrazur restaurant to move from its east balcony site. Apple is reportedly paying the restaurant $5 million to vacate the space more than eight years before its lease expires, reports The Journal.
