Barnes & Noble Booksellers (New York) announced that it will be opening a new, 9000-square-foot concept store in Fort Worth, Texas. The new store will also include a restaurant with an expanded menu that will include beer and wine among other things. The store is scheduled to open next March, reports The Star-Telegram.

This location is one of five new concept stores the company is testing throughout the country as a way to entice customers to come into the store for reasons beyond simply browsing books and make the stores a destination for socializing. This is also a way for them to compete with online retailers like Amazon (Seattle).
