Seattle's Best Coffee, a subsidiary of AFC Enterprises, Inc. (Atlanta), has reached an agreement to operate cafes in three Atlanta-area test locations for Borders Books (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

The three locations are at Midtown Place shopping center in Midtown, the Buckhead Triangle shopping center in Buckhead and the Perimeter Village shopping center in Dunwoody.

“This is a strategic alliance for Borders and Seattle's Best Coffee in that we both are committed to creating an experience that will add value in our stores and ultimately to our customers” said Steve Davis, senior vp of Borders Store Operations. “While we continue to operate our own cafes in Borders stores nationwide, we are delighted to develop a localized relationship with Seattle's Best Coffee in these three Atlanta stores.”

Seattle Coffee Company, which franchises and operates 141 Seattle's Best Coffee and 20 Torrefazione Italia Coffee cafes in eight countries, is a subsidiary of AFC Enterprises, Inc., which franchises and operates more than 3750 Church's Chicken, Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, Cinnabon, Cajun Kitchen and Cajun Cafe restaurants.
