Build-A-Bear (St. Louis) has appointed Char Nicanor-Kimball for the new position of VP of E-commerce, according to a company press release. Nicanor-Kimball previously held roles at Nordstrom and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Former Director of E-commerce Development, Art Huggard, has been internally promoted to VP of Digital Technology.

This new position coincides with the announcement of the retailer’s new project “Bear Builder 3-D Workshop,” where customers will have the opportunity to create customized stuffed animals online.

Sharon Price John, President and CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop, said in a statement, according to Retail Dive, “The retail landscape has been shifting as consumers have increasingly moved to online shopping. Our aim is to meet guests where and how they prefer to shop. Because we are a high-engagement brand, we wanted to develop an interactive, digital shopping option that not only delivered on our iconic in-store process, but offered a dynamic experience to create your own furry friend.”
