C-Star 2015 To Feature Retail Conference

The first staging of C-star, Shanghai’s International Trade Fair for Solutions and Trends all about Retail, will feature an extensive ancillary program, including the C-star Retail Conference.   C-start will take place from May 13 – 15, 2015 at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC). The Conference will be held on May 13 and 14, 2015 at the Kerry Center Pudong, adjacent to SNIEC.

Both the trade fair and the Retail Conference are organized by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co Ltd and supported by the China National Commercial Information Center. The topic of the C-star Retail Conference will be “The Future of Retail – The Future of Destinations”. Dr. Helmut Merkel, former Arcandor chairman and CEO of Karstadt, will act as the Conference Chairman. Speakers at the Retail Conference will include renowned CEOs and professionals from the retail sector, including Yao Wang (Deputy President of the China General Chamber of Commerce), Mark Israel (CEO of Value Retail China), Richard Wörösch  (Schwitzke & Partner) and Yue Hong (Member of the Board of Yansha Group, Beijing).

C-star visitors will also have the opportunity to participate at the C-star Open Forum, an on-site discussion forum jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co Ltd and the EHI Retail Institute. At the Open Forum, exhibitors will speak about selected retail related topics, sharing their expertise and experience with industry peers.
