Design industry veteran Christopher Barriscale has been named president of Fitch:San Francisco. Previously, Barriscale was vp of store design and architecture for the corporate marketing group of DFS Group Ltd., a division of LVMH-Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton in San Francisco.

Barriscale, an architect and designer of retail, commercial and cultural environments worldwide, will be a speaker at VM+SD's International Retail Design Conference in Pasadena, Calif., Sept. 18 – 20, 2002.

Barriscale's career also includes stints as creative director and managing principal of retail design of FRCH Design Worldwide's New York office, owner of his own architectural and interior design firm, and associate partner and director of interiors at Beyer Blinder Belle.

Kevin Roche, ceo of Fitch:Worldwide's North American operations, said Barriscale will “work closely with Kathy Tierney, former six-year ceo of Smith & Hawken, who is also based in our San Francisco office.
