Chuck E. Cheese (Irving, Texas) is expanding to Australia. To do so, the family entertainment/restaurant brand has entered a strategic master franchise partnership with Perth-based Royale Hospitality Group.

The multi-unit agreement “will introduce a reimagined Chuck E. Cheese kid-friendly experience that seamlessly blends its classic offerings with cutting-edge interactive play and activities,” the partners said in a news release.

However, the parties did not disclose the number, locations or timing of the company’s move Down Under.

“Chuck E. Cheese is a powerful global brand that transcends language and cultural boundaries, centered around the timeless essence of family fun,” said COO Mario Centola, COO of Chuck E. Cheese International. “We are thrilled to bring the magic of Chuck E. Cheese to Australia and to collaborate with the Royale Hospitality Group, a partner that shares our commitment to delivering exceptional family experiences.”

Said Ray Strauss, Managing Director of Royale Hospitality, “We look forward to crafting the Chuck E. Cheese brand for the Australian market.”

The move to Australia is part of Chuck E. Cheese’s ongoing focus on global expansion, which also includes breaking into new markets in Asia and Europe. In addition, the company has been remodeling many of its existing locations.
