Circle K to Launch Cashierless Checkout

Circle K (Tempe, Ariz.) will introduce automated checkout at select U.S. locations next year, according to Bloomberg. The c-store retailer will launch the first cashierless checkout in a Phoenix store next year using technology from Standard Cognition Group.

Human cashiers will still be available at the locations for shoppers who prefer to pay that way.
