Island lifestyle retailer Tommy Bahama Group (Seattle) promoted Rob Goldberg to senior vp of marketing. Goldberg will lead of all areas of marketing within the brand including men’s and women’s wholesale, retail, ecommerce, licensing and restaurants.

BUSINESS BRIEFS

Graphics solutions supplier Merisel (New York) merged its east and west coast offices to become Coloredge New York • Los Angeles, making it the nation’s largest graphics provider with 210,000 square feet in production facilities.

Students of the Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design program opened
“Remembrance. Response. Reform” to honor the 100th anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire that killed 146 female immigrants in New York. The exhibition will be on view from March 16 – 29.

Flooring manufacturer Amtico International (Coventry, U.K.) discontinued sales of its Stratica PVC-free product because of the recent decline in demand. Resources used to make Stratica will be redeployed allowing for additional manufacturing capacity to meet the growing demand of U.S.-made Amtico and Spacia products.

Red Chariot (Minneapolis) added in-store solutions provider Architectural Systems to its Retail Collaborative, a group of industry leaders made available to Red Chariot clients to help create solutions for retail challenges.

Lighting manufacturer American Permalight (Torrance, Calif.) launched its new website (americanpermalight.com) to include more information on product offerings. The site includes a video that helps visualize the photoluminescent darkness effect. Users can also download PDF catalogs and request product samples.

In-store visual merchandising solutions provider Process Displays (Minneapolis) changed its name to PD. As part of its rebranding, PD established two core service divisions – PD Tempo, which manages temporary displays and seasonal merchandising, and PD Solid, which supports clients with permanent store fixtures and semi-permanent solutions.
