(PRESS RELEASE) As physical retail evolves, design and experience have become more powerful tools than ever. The Creative Retail Awards have recognized the retail industry’s best companies and talent since 2018. With categories including sustainable solutions, omnichannel innovations, VM schemes, POP/POS, shopfitting and store design, the Awards recognize talent across the full spectrum of design and display.

This year’s jury panel independently judged over 600 entries submitted by suppliers, designers and retailers from across the globe. The shortlist was announced to great fanfare in September with the video announcement being viewed over 3700 times on YouTube alone.

A record number of tickets were sold for the 2021 awards ceremony which took place at Proud Embankment on the 14th of October. The night was attended by a selection of suppliers, designers and a broad range of retailers including Samsung, Cartier, Flannels, Loaf, Dermalogica, B&Q, and many more.

The big night followed Creative Retail Awards’ unique take on a ceremony that blends networking with an informal party atmosphere celebrating the diversity in our industry.

Each award announcement gives the shortlisted entrants a chance to walk away with a Highly Commended or Winner’s trophy in front of a supportive crowd of industry peers. Winners this year included retailers such as Timberland, Liberty London, Harrods, Modivo, Wembley Park, Selfridges and Samsung. The ceremony closed with the announcement of the Judges’ Choice Award, which this year went to Anya Hindmarch for their ‘I Am A Plastic Bag’ sustainability scheme. You can view the full list of Winners, Highly Commended and Shortlisted entries here or via the SDEA website.
