Faconnable announces Dallas boutique opening in the fall

Faconnable, the French specialty apparel brand, has announced plans to open its fourth boutique in the United States, in Dallas, this fall, with plans for future openings in other major markets across the country. “The casual, yet sophisticated, design of the new boutiques will truly embrace the art de vivre (art of life) and joie de vivre (joy of life) style of Faconnable,” said Jim Schneider, divisional vp of Faconnable USA.

The company is looking at an additional New York boutique, to complement its existing Manhattan location on Fifth Avenue, in the spring of 2002; is considering Chicago or West Palm Beach, Fla., for fall 2002; and San Francisco, Boston and Phoenix in 2003.

“Each new boutique, offering the entire Faconnable men's and women's collection of sportswear, dresswear, outerwear and accessories, will evoke an emotional experience with its invigorating architectural style representative of the company's French Mediterranean heritage and culture,” said Schneider. “Boutique-style shopping presents an amazing opportunity for us to communicate, on an even more personal level, the quality craftsmanship and luxurious fabrics that distinguish our collections.”

The Dallas boutique, scheduled to open Oct. 5, 2001, will be featured by natural wood and stone finishes in lightly colored, open-air spaces, according to the company.

Faconnable currently operates 41 boutiques worldwide. Its merchandise also is sold in specialty retail stores throughout Europe, and became familiar to U.S. shoppers via Nordstrom stores.
