Denim brand Duer (Gastown, Canada) has opened a new flagship store in Vancouver’s Kitsilano district, according to a press release. The 2100-square-foot space features a sensory customer experience that includes the brand’s Performance Playground and 3-D installations made from eucalyptus, recycled plastic bottles and wood chips.

“I believe experiential retail is about to have its moment — far beyond anything we’ve seen before,” said Gary Lenett, Duer Co-Founder. “There’s a big market opportunity for brands like ours that can turn retail spaces into testing grounds offering a memorable experience for consumers.”

The store design communicates the brand’s commitment to finding alternatives to synthetic materials used in the manufacturing of apparel. “We’ve created a space where people can feel, see, and touch our brand’s values,” said Nadia Gillies, Director of Brand.

Duer reportedly plans to open additional stores in the U.S., with the next opening planned for Los Angeles.
