Faena Bazaar Comes to Miami

Hosts three pop-ups for Art Basel Miami crowd

Faena Bazaar, featuring three pop-up stores and a gallery, has opened in Miami, Fla., to cater to Art Basel Miami Beach crowds.

Rem Koolhaus’ OMA designed the 20,000-square-foot space, reports Women’s Wear Daily. Architect Shohei Shigematsu created a central atrium encased in metal inside the Art Deco hotel and artist Yoon Lee created a faux pearl sculpture out of 90,000 ping pong balls.

“Faena’s fantastical world gives permission to create site-specific retail experiences to take a bit home with you,” said Kelly Framel, a fashion consultant who helped organized the pop-ups.

Included in Faena Bazaar is a solo pop-up of Danish fashion designer Henrik Vibskov, while the other two include curated collections of brands such as Figue, Viktor & Rolf Haute Couture,  Edun and Brother Vellies.
