Tommy Hilfiger hires Lauren Bush for Tommy Jeans campaign

The spring 2002 ad campaign for Tommy Jeans from Tommy Hilfiger (New York) will feature Lauren Bush, niece of the president, as model and spokesperson.

It will be the beginning of her two-year modeling contract for the Tommy Jeans collection. In the past two years, Hilfiger has featured Bush in regional fashion shows throughout the United States and Europe.

“Lauren is the quintessential all-American girl and is the perfect face for the Tommy Jeans campaign,” said Hilfiger of the Elite model. “Besides her natural beauty, she is charming, full of energy and exudes a certain sophistication. Her qualities embody the spirit of American youth, which is exactly what I was looking for to represent the Jeans collection.”

Hilfiger says the concept, “Nantucket Weekend,” will feature a group of young friends sharing easy, playful moments together on a sunny afternoon. Bush will be joined in the campaign by models Amy Lemons, Michelle DeSwarte, “EJ” Onousa, Scott Temple and Kellen Bailey.

Still in high school, Bush will balance her Hilfiger modeling activities with submitting college applications. She says she would like to study business and the arts (specifically theater). She was recently declared “the most glamorous member of America's most powerful family” by Vogue magazine.
