Botbol adds worldwide fashion communications to his duties

Michel Botbol has been named vp, creative director of global fashion communications for Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. (New York).

Botbol, currently creative director for Ralph Lauren womenswear and advertising will add to his duties global fashion communications for mens and womenswear. He will continue to report to chairman and ceo Ralph Lauren and executive vp, women's design and advertising, Buffy Birrittela. On matters related to fashion communications, he will report to David Lauren, senior vp of marketing, advertising and corporate communications.

Prior to joining Polo Ralph Lauren, Botbol was creative director for Harper's Bazaar magazine and fashion editor of Fairchild Publication's W and Women's Wear Daily.
