Store Openings:

The Bombay Co. Inc. (Fort Worth, Texas) has opened BombayKIDS stores in Fairlawn, Ohio, and Westlake, Ohio. The stores feature children's furniture and bedding collections.

Echeverria Design Group (Coral Gables, Fla.) has been hired by Federated Department Stores (Cincinnati) to provide architectural planning, interior design and documentation services for storewide updates at 15 Macy's stores in Florida and California. Echeverria has also been hired to design a prototype showroom for Serta Bedding in Las Vegas.

The National Retail Federation (NRF, Washington, D.C.) announced the following elections to its board: Arnold Zetcher, chairman, president and ceo of Talbots Inc., will continue as chairman, serving the second year of a two-year term. M. Farooq Kathwari, chairman, president and ceo of Ethan Allen Inc., will serve as first vice chairman. Paul Charron, chairman and ceo of Liz Claiborne Inc., will serve as second vice chairman.
