Organizing to better manage growth

Published

on

Fossil (Richardson, Texas-based accessory/apparel retailer) has undergone a restructuring that will separate the company into three divisions: watches and stores, fashion accessories and international and special markets. The split signifies a move to attempt better management of the company's growth.

Three current members of Fossil's management team, each having held the title of executive vp, will lead the new divisions. Richard Gundy is now president of Fossil watches and stores. He will be responsible for all domestic watch sales, order management and retail and outlet store development and sales. Mark Quick was named president of fashion accessories, responsible for small leather goods, handbags, belts and eyewear. And Michael Barnes was named president of the international and special markets division, overseeing all international operations.
