From Gucci to Gap

De Sole joins Gap’s board of directors

Domenico De Sole, who recently resigned as president and ceo of Gucci Group NV (Amsterdam), has joined the board of directors of Gap Inc. (San Francisco).

“Domenico has skillfully managed one of the world’s most recognized global fashion brands,” said Gap president and ceo Paul Pressler. “His insights and leadership will bring great value to our company and shareholders.”

De Sole will serve on the board’s compensation and management development committee. He also serves on the boards of Procter & Gamble (Cincinnati), Bausch & Lomb (Rochester, N.Y.) and Telecom Italia (Milan), an Italian telecommunications company.
