GameStop COO Leaves After Seven Months

Jenna Owens, Chief Operating Officer, at GameStop (Grapevine, Texas) will leave the company just seven months after joining, according to CNBC. GameStop did not specify why Owens was leaving; a regulatory filing states that both parties had entered into a separation agreement that went into effect Oct. 25.

The retailer recently grabbed headlines when amateur investors on Reddit fueled a “short squeeze,” forcing investors that were shorting the stock in hopes its price would drop to repurchase the shares due to its rising price.
