IKEA Places Bet on Vegas

First Nevada unit to open in 2016

IKEA (Leiden, Netherlands) has announced plans to open its first Nevada-based store in 2016.

The proposed 351,000-square-foot Las Vegas location will sit on 26 acres along the northern side of Interstate-215 at Durango Drive. It could open as early as summer 2016, according to Businessweek.

The housewares chain estimates it already has 101,000 customers in the area.
