The first Jamba Juice (Emeryville, Calif.) location has been opened in Lexington, Ky., by local entrepreneurs Emmy and Don Marquess and Mary and John Speaker, principals of The Speaquess Group LLC. The group plans to open seven Jamba stores over the next six years, reports QSR magazine, with a second store already in the works for this spring at the Fayette Mall.

“We are excited to bring Jamba Juice, a brand associated with the healthy, active lifestyle, to fans here in Lexington,” says owners Don and Emmy Marquess.

Jamba Juice offers more than 30 made-to-order whole fruit smoothies, fresh-squeezed juices, wheatgrass and hot blended beverages, as well as baked goods and snacks.
