Kate Spade to Expand Home Collections

Signs licensing deals for furniture, other categories

Kate Spade & Co. (New York) will expand its home goods collections with four new licensing agreements under the kate spade new york brand.

The new home collections include bedding, bath, furniture, fabric, wallpaper and rugs. They join the company’s existing home categories, including: tabletop with Lenox Corp. (Bristol, Pa.), table linens and kitchen textiles with Town & Country Living (New York), and stationery and gift collections with Lifeguard Press (Bowling Green, Ky.).

The new licensing partners include: DWI Holdings (New York) for bedding and bath textiles, EJ Victor (Morganton, N.C.) for furniture, Kravet (Bethpage, N.Y.) for fabric and wallpaper, and Jaipur (Norcross, Ga.) for rugs.

According to a company statement released today, the expanding product categories through licensing partnerships are part of Kate Spade & Co.'s long-term growth strategy. The collections will debut between May 2015 and next spring at retailers, interior design showrooms and on the company’s website.
