LACAUSA Brand Opens First Store

Strong wholesale business encourages bricks-and-mortar launch

LACAUSA (Los Angeles) opens its first bricks-and-mortar store location today in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake area.

The 900-square-foot store features an assortment of the brand’s products, which are locally made and, up until now, sold in third-party stores, such as Anthropologie (Philadelphia) and American Rag (Los Angeles). The brand was carried in more than 200 stores worldwide and this success as wholesale business inspired owner Rebecca Grenell to launch this flagship store, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The store is stocked with a variety of fashions, including its bestseller “Dad’s Shirt,” which was inspired by a shirt of her father’s that Grenell had worn one summer and has now reinvented in chiffon. Customers can also find products from other fashion lines, most of which are created by Grenell’s friends or relatives, such as hand-embroidered work by her mother and her brother’s apparel line Hero Crane (Los Angeles).
