Lego Opens First Hong Kong Flagship

Plans for three more stores over next three years

Lego (Billund, Denmark) has opened its first Hong Kong flagship.

The new store, located in Langham Place, will target both adults and children, reports Toy News. It is run by Kidsland Holdings. Lego plans to open three more units in Hong Kong over the next three years.

Despite the country's economic state, the brand is hopeful the new stores will be successful: “Toys are a resilient market during a downturn, more so than say fashion, jewellery or cosmetics, because adults can show more restraint when spending on themselves rather than when they spend on their children,” said William Lo Wing-yan, Kidsland Holdings, to South China Morning Post.
