Macy’s Inc. (Cincinnati, Ohio) announced that it will begin selling its own private-label line of wines in select stores and in-store restaurants. The wines will be sold under the Macy’s Select name and be available starting in October, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The retailer has partnered with KDM Global Partners LLC (Philadelphia) to create the store’s wines, which will include a Chardonnay, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Pinot Noir.

The retailer already sells private-label salad dressings, soups, candy and mints. It said that, while the retailer is always considering new offerings to add to its menu, it has no plans to add any additional gourmet or beverage offerings.
