Manolo Blahnik Opening New London Store

Manolo Blahnik (London) has plans to open a new store in London’s Burlington Arcade. This store will be the company’s second store in the city. The 1000-square-foot store is set to open Feb. 4 in the newly refurbished, 19th Century shopping center near the Royal Academy.

The store will offer men’s and women’s shoes, including both its classic pieces as well as seasonal collections. It will also stock the brand’s recently-launched collection of handbags.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the designer chose the Burlington Arcade for his latest store because of his fondness for the area. “It has that intimate feeling, and one always feels welcome, especially when the Beadles greet you at the entrance,” he said. “It is an elegant place with history and tradition, and the shops that occupy it share the same qualities as I find essential in beautiful, handmade products. Honestly, I could not think of a better place to be.”
