Located in Austin, Texas

ModCloth (San Francisco) announced that it will open its first permanent store after testing out temporary physical shops in various cities throughout the country over the past year. The store will be located in Austin, Texas, and will open in the coming months, reports Women’s Wear Daily. The company hopes to open additional permanent bricks-and-mortar ModCloth stores in the future.

The company first began exploring bricks-and-mortar retail when it opened its first fit shop in San Francisco. The store allowed shoppers to try on a variety of clothes, which could then be purchased and shipped to their homes. It also gave customers the chance to get one-on-one fittings and styling advice from store associates. It then tried pop-up stores in various cities, including Austin, which proved to be a successful location.
