New Off/Aisle Stores Open

In the Milwaukee-area

Published

Kohl’s Corp. (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) opened two of its new Off/Aisle discount stores this past weekend. Both located in the Milwaukee-area, these stores are the retailer’s second and third openings for the new store concept. The first Off/Aisle store opened in New Jersey last summer.

The Off/Aisle store differs from the traditional Kohl’s department store in a number of ways, including that it does not accept coupons or offer returns. Instead, all products are priced with a colored tag that designates how much it costs; for instance, an item with a blue circle may cost $6. Inventory turns over quickly and will coincide with the season.

The pared-down stores’ designs feature a polished concrete floor with sleek lighting fixtures, reports the Journal Sentinel.
