Olin Lancaster, former president of Kenneth Cole Menswear (New York), has been named senior vp of sales for Polo brands.

He'll be responsible for sales, retail development and customer service for Polo brands, which include Polo by Ralph Lauren, Polo Sport and Polo Golf by Ralph Lauren for men and women. In addition, he will be responsible for further development of Polo's retail partnerships with department stores, specialty stores and country clubs. Lancaster will report to Joy Herfel, president of Polo Brands.

Though Lancaster spent two years at Kenneth Cole, most of his career has been spent with Ralph Lauren. He joined the company in 1988 as a store manager and was later appointed director of corporate sales for Ralph Lauren Home. In 1996, Lancaster became vp of sales and marketing in the U.S. for Polo Ralph Lauren Boys Co., a division of Oxford Industries, where his responsibilities included all aspects of sales, merchandise planning, store development, budgeting and p&l management.
