Old Navy Hires Marketing Executive

Susan Wayne handled Gap strategic activities for Leo Burnett advertising

Gap Inc. (San Francisco) has continued its executive revamping with the hiring of Susan Wayne as executive vp, marketing, for the company's Old Navy division.

Wayne will oversee all aspects of marketing for the brand, including advertising, in-store promotion and public relations activities. She will report to Old Navy president Jenny Ming.

Wayne joins Gap from Leo Burnett USA (Chicago), where she was an executive vp, leading the Burnett team with strategic branding for Gap's Gap and Banana Republic brands. At Leo Burnett, she also led the Hallmark account for four years and spent eight years on Procter & Gamble's beauty care and health care business (on such brands as Secret, Noxzema and Crest toothbrushes). She was recently named one of 2003's “Women to Watch.” by Advertising Age.
