Olive Garden Redesigns Stores, Logo

Updates aim to boost lagging sales

Darden Restaurants’ (Orlando, Fla.) Olive Garden chain, as part of its “brand renaissance” announced last March, has unveiled its new logo and has begun the roll-out of its new interior model. The brand’s new logo with its first update in 15 years features simple script and an olive branch as well as the new tagline “Italian Kitchen,” replacing “Italian Restaurant.”

The newly designed dining rooms features fewer walls and more open spaces, brighter colors and modern art. Darden hopes the updates will help to reverse recent declines in sales, which dropped by 3.4 percent for the 12 months that ended in May, according to Bloomberg.
