Fossil to design George wristwatch line for Wal-Mart

Fossil Inc. (Richardson, Texas) has announced an agreement with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (Bentonville, Ark.) to design, manufacture and distribute a line of men’s and women’s fashion wristwatches under the George brand, the new private label fashion line Wal-Mart has imported from its British subsidiary, ASDA Group Limited (Leeds, U.K.).

“We are thrilled about partnering with Wal-Mart to develop and grow the George brand within the watch category,” said Doug Kramp, Fossil’s senior vp, special markets. “The George watch collection epitomizes affordable luxury by merging innovative watch styling with impeccable functionality.”

The men’s and women’s watches offer a variety of classic, fashion and sporty styles with suggested retail prices ranging from $33-$60.
