EARLIER THIS MONTH, Sanctuary (Los Angeles), a wholesale and direct-to-consumer business since its founding in 1997, marked a company milestone by opening its first-ever flagship boutique in Beverly Hills, Calif.

With soft-curved architectural walls, the 2000-square-foot store on North Beverly Drive spotlights the elegant minimalism that has driven Sanctuary’s brand aesthetic. The space features natural details throughout: stucco stone, light-colored wood and gold-toned metal combine to create shelving and fixtures, while greenery adds additional touches of nature.

A bright beige color palette provides a backdrop from ceiling to floor; adorning the walls is a subtle, softly patterned design reminiscent of sandstone. Designed with Valerio Architects (Los Angeles), bright white back-lighting highlights the curved walls, fixtures and shelving while plush round seating in the dressing room creates a cozy, comforting environment.

For Sanctuary, the Beverly Hills store is the first of many brick-and-mortar locations, as the company is planning 10 more stores by 2030.
