Opening Day for Hard Rock Cafe Yankee Stadium

As part of the opening excitement of Yankee Stadium, Hard Rock Intl. has announced “opening day” at its newest cafe location – Hard Rock Cafe Yankee Stadium. The 7000-square-foot cafe will be open year-round and serve both ticketholders and non-ticketholders on game days with a full bar and patio seating.

Opening day festivities include a Yankee Stadium guitar smash and “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” sing-along with Bernie Williams.

The restaurant, located on the corner of 161st Street and River Avenue, features seating for 210 guests and houses memorabilia from artists, including Billy Joel's stage outfit from a performance at the Hard Rock Cafe New York; Bono's stage outfit from a Yankee Stadium concert; KISS' Ace Frehley's flame guitar; Elton John's Statue of Liberty stage costume; and Anthrax's Scott Ian's hand-crafted Yankees guitar. Additionally, the walls of the Hard Rock are adorned with a photo collection of New York-area talent wearing Yankees gear.

“Adding popular and premier dining options such as the Hard Rock Cafe was done with our fans in mind,” said Yankees chief operating officer Lonn Trost. “Yankee Stadium will be a destination that fans from around the world can look forward to visiting throughout the calendar year.”
