Kenneth Armstrong named head of stores

Saks Inc. (Birmingham, Ala.) has announced that Kenneth Armstrong will join the senior management team of its Parisian subsidiary, as senior vp of stores. He will report to George Jones, president and ceo of Saks Department Store Group.

Armstrong had been with Lord & Taylor (New York-based division of May Department Store Co., St. Louis), most recently as senior vp of stores. Prior to joining Lord & Taylor, he held various merchandising and store positions with Macy's (New York).

Saks also named David Doub as Parisian's senior vp/gmm of ready-to-wear. Doub had been with Dillard's (Little Rock, Ark.) for the past 23 years. He, too, will report to Jones.
