Peruvian Connection Opens First New York Store

High-end women’s fashion retailer Peruvian Connection Ltd. (Tonganoxie, Kan.) opened its first store in New York on Columbus Avenue. The brand, which features Peruvian-style knits inspired from South American fashions, met large success with hundreds of visitors on its opening day.

The company currently operates stores in other locations, including Kansas City, Mo.; Boston; Chicago; Santa Fe, New Mexico; Washington, D.C.; and one international location in London.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that founder Annie Hurlbut commented that the company’s future plans include further European expansion in cities such as Edinburgh, Scotland; Hamburg and Munich, Germany; and Paris.
