Price Chopper Names President

Jerel Golub promoted to new role

Supermarket chain Price Chopper has appointed Jerel Golub president and chief operating officer. Golub, who previously served as executive vp and chief operating officer of the Schenectady, N.Y.-based company, replaces Neil Golub, who will remain chairman and ceo.

The Golub Corp. operates more than 118 supermarkets in six states and has revenue of more than $3 billion annually.
