Questrom on Men’s Wearhouse Board

Apparel veteran has run some large apparel chains

The Men's Wearhouse Inc. (Houston) has named apparel retailing veteran Allen Questrom to its board of directors.

Questrom’s impressive 40-year resume includes running the Barneys New York, Federated Department Stores, JCPenney and Neiman Marcus organizations.

He was chairman and ceo of Neiman Marcus from 1988 to 1990; chairman and ceo of Federated (now Macy's) from 1990 to 1997; chairman of Barneys in 1999 and 2000; and chairman and ceo of JCPenney’s from 2000 to 2004. He has been a senior adviser for Lee Equity Partners (New York) since 2006.

He has also served as a board member of Walmart Stores Inc. and Footlocker Inc., was non-executive chairman of Deb Shops Inc., one of Lee Equity’s holdings.
