Ramy Brook Plans First Retail Store

New York boutique in the works

Four-year-old contemporary sportswear and handbag company Ramy Brook will open its first retail store at 22 Prince Street in NoLIta on September 26. The downtown boutique includes features such as an exposed brick wall and a bronze mirror with Swarovski crystals.

The brand’s president and creative director, Ramy Sharp, said she chose the neighborhood because “it’s hip and cool and a great place to browse,” noting stores such as Haute Hippie, Maje, Sandro and Vince are all neighbors. “It’s like a mall on the weekends, it’s packed,” she told Women’s Wear Daily.

The 360-square-foot shop will carry Ramy Brook’s tops, dresses, skirts, pants, jumpsuits and cover-ups, as well as handbags that launch at retail this fall, and exclusive jewelry, according to WWD. The company’s products are currently sold through Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Shopbop.com.

Sharp would like to eventually open another store on Madison Avenue, as well as in Miami, Los Angeles and the Hamptons.
