Sears Names Top Partners

CAP & Associates, Columbus, Ohio-based store fixture manufacturer, was named one of the top suppliers in Sears'annual Partners in Progress awards.

The retailer honored its top suppliers yesterday at an event at the Hoffman Estates, Ill., headquarters. Sears bestowed the prestigious award this year on fewer than 110 of more than 10,000 suppliers who competed for this award.

CAP & Associates was designated as Group Vendor of the Year in the Sears Support Group category. Lozier Corp. (Omaha, Neb.) was also designated for honors.

“Sears suppliers are critical to the success of our company as we strive to make our stores even more focused on delivering the goods and services our customers expect,” said Sears chairman and ceo Alan Lacy. “Of the thousands of suppliers with whom we do business, our Partners in Progress award recipients have demonstrated the highest level of commitment, quality and leadership — attributes we strive to achieve in everything we do at Sears.”

Sears has been conducting its Partners In Progress program for almost 20 years, to recognize “suppliers that make significant contributions to the growth of Sears businesses and the creation of new ways to better serve Sears customers.”
