Target Corp. (Minneapolis) will open its second, small-format CityTarget store in San Francisco in October 2013. The 119,000 square-foot space will be located at the southwest corner of Geary and Masonic streets. The first CityTarget in San Francisco opened Oct. 10.

“We are thrilled to call San Francisco home to our newest CityTarget at Geary and Masonic,” said Cary Strouse, Target’s senior vp of stores in the western U.S. “With more than five CityTarget locations confirmed, California has always been a strong market for Target. We are excited to continue being a good neighbor and developing long-lasting relationships with guests at both San Francisco Target stores.”

The new store will offer urban living essentials, clothing and exclusive designer collections, as well as a Starbucks and a pharmacy.

Targeting urban zones, CityTarget stores have also opened in Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles and Westwood, Calif. this year, with additional stores planned in Portland and Los Angeles in 2013.
