Makeup and beauty products retailer Sephora (Paris) plans to open up to 12 stores in Latin America by 2013, reports Women’s Wear Daily. The first of these locations is set to roll out in São Paulo, Brazil’s luxury shopping mall, Centro Comercial Iguatemi.

“So far, our sales have been extraordinary, so we are feeling very positive about expanding in Latin America and about consumers’ high interest in our brand,” says Paula Larroque, Latin America senior vp, reports WWD.

In December, Sephora opened a second store in Mexico City, Mexico, at the Paseo Interlomas mall. Most of its future Latin America stores will range from 4300 to 5300 square feet and will resemble its latest U.S. store design.
