Apparel chain G+G Retail Inc. (New York), which specializes in fashion for teen-aged girls, is redesigning and branding its more than 500 stores, which operate under the banners Rave, Rave Girl, and G+G.

Architectural firm FRCH Design Worldwide (Cincinnati) has been hired to recreate the total store environment, providing interior design, brand consulting, architectural documentation and graphic design services.

“G+G/Rave represents a new and exciting retail concept for an underserved consumer,” says Christian Davies, FRCH creative director of the specialty brands team. “FRCH looks forward to working with Rave on the evolution of their innovative new concept and on partnering with them in the reinvention of their brand and the teen retail category.”

G+G was founded in 1924 as G+G Shop, a Manhattan lingerie and hosiery store. The company has since grown into a chain with stores across the country and in the Caribbean. Rave and G+G stores offer teen clothing at discount prices, and Rave Girl, the company’s newest concept, targets girls sizes 6-14.
