Supervalu Reappoints Shaw’s President

Larry Wahlstrom comes out of retirement to help struggling Shaw’s chain

Supervalu Inc. (Eden Prairie, Minn.) announced that Larry Wahlstrom will return to the post of president of its Shaw’s Supermarket chain. Wahlstrom had previously served in that role from September 2007 until his retirement last summer.

Mike Witynski, who had replaced Wahlstrom, has left the company to “pursue other interests.”

The Shaw's division operates 176 stores.
