A permanent freestanding kiosk in the new Toys 'R'Us store in New York's Times Square will showcase the entire GameShark product line, featuring a multimedia display that will provide interactive demonstrations of GameShark in action. GameShark makes video game enhancers and accessories.

The eight-foot-tall kiosk will occupy 16 square feet and hold 264 units of GameShark merchandise. A 17-inch touch screen and two 20-inch monitors housed in the kiosk will allow shoppers to view a brief demonstration of GameShark in action on their favorite video game for any of the six major gaming platforms. To initiate a demonstration of GameShark, the shopper must select a gaming platform and a game. The demonstration will present a full motion video of GameShark in action, utilizing codes for a variety of game-enhancing actions.

The GameShark product line will also be featured in end cap displays at the new flagship store and more than 450 Toys R Us stores, featuring the latest GameShark products and updated on a quarterly basis.

GameShark's manufacturer, InterAct Accessories, Inc., is a subsidiary of Recoton Corp. (Lake Mary, Fla.), which makes electronic accessories and aftermarket products that connect and enhance audio, video, computer and office equipment and sells its more than 4000 items through about 1000 retailers worldwide. Its products include speakers, headphones, antennas, CD changers, remote controls, and phone batteries. Its brands include Ampersand, Jensen and SoundQuest; licensed brands include Microsoft X-Box, Sprint and Barbie. Wal-Mart accounts for 19% of the company's sales, Best Buy 11%.

The new Toys 'R'Us store, delayed somewhat by the events of the last two months in New York, is now slated for a November 13 opening.
