TAKING DESIGN CUES directly from classic Roman architecture, Baardos La Citta (New Delhi, India) is an 8000-square-foot eatery conveniently woven into the urban fabric of New Delhi.

Designed by Studio Dangg’s (New Delhi, India) Principal Architect Manav Dangg, Baardos La Citta boasts an impressive waterfall as well as a variety of plants and greenery, supporting its food offerings and visually elevating the experience for guests. During the day, plenty of natural sunlight illuminates the space through expansive windows and floods through a section of skylights.

Through the incorporation of high arches, moldings and columns, the design team took inspiration from classical architecture, paying homage to a historical era. In its own right, you could say it’s a modern-day monument.
